Stay-Linked is a host based wireless terminal emulation solution that reliably
extends 5250, 3270 and VT application screens to wireless devices.
Stay-Linked uniquely leverages the reliability of the application
host computing environment as it runs on the same platform as the application. Stay-Linked preserves wireless user screen session status on the host at all times regardless of interruptions in wireless connectivity, thereby eliminating typical productivity losses associated with "dropped wireless user sessions." Stay-Linked Product Offering The Stay-Linked RF Wireless 5250-3270-VT100/220 emulation software product is built specifically for wireless warehouse automation and management. Stay-Linked is a uniquely server-based solution with all the emulation software residing on highly reliable host server computing platforms, including IBM AS/400-iSeries, Mainframe-zSeries, RS/6000-pSeries and other popular UNIX, Linux and Windows server platforms. Only a thin client resides on remote RF scanning devices, making it different than all other emulation packages on the market. Stay-Linked delivers previously unheard of ease of implementation, management and reliable use with exclusive features like "Session Keep-Alive" to prevent troublesome dropped RF Wireless user scanning sessions.  RF Wireless 5250/3270 and VT Emulation - Product Summary: Traditionally, RF Wireless 5250/3270 and VT terminal emulation products and solutions have been based on using software that resides on the wireless device itself or on an intermediary gateway. The software provides an interface for application display sessions to connect to a generic Telnet service on a target host computer. The problem with this approach is that the environment that the terminal emulation software must operate within is much less reliable than the host computer it is connecting to (wireless network outages, out of radio range conditions, device specific issues like dead batteries, etc.).
